No wonder, that the Final Table was assembly of poker superstars with chipleader Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, who already won this event twice, Dan Smith, Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah and $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. winner John Hennigan.
The Grinder had the historic chance to win the Players Championship for the third time as the first player in history! Mizrachi seemed highly motivated and dominated right from the start until the Heads-Up. Here he had a very strong opponent with John Hennigan, who already won the $10k H.O.R.S.E.
At first Hennigan fought back, but then the Grinder pulled away for good and secured his entry in the poker history books by winning the most prestigious event for the third time! Mizrachi took home a whopping $1,239,126 for his tremendous victory.
