Taiwanese tournament legend James Chen dominates on Day 1
It was WSOP Bracelet winner and Taiwanese tournament legend James Chen, who dominated on Day 1 of 2021 WSOP Online 2021 Event #23: $600 Deepstack Championship.
Chen won 2019 WSOP Europe Event 4, a $250,000 Super High Roller, for an incredible $ 3,142,848 score and boasts a whopping $7,337,206 taking him on the top spot of the Taiwan All Time Money List.
A staggering 2,920 players registered and created a $1,607,400 prize pool with 467 places paid.

While Day 1 was dominated by James Chen, Day 2 saw Portuguese tournament regular Nuno Capucho crushing it.
Having started the day in 5th place, Capucho quickly took control and the lead with 14 players left.
Then he busted Alejandro Andion and Brazilian local hero Felipe Ramos to build a massive chip lead.
Nuno Capucho held the chip lead throughout the entire final table and when heads-up play began he was still 3 to 1 in front against Norwegian female poker pro Karolina “KarolinaNe” Norvaisaite. Only 22 minutes later all chips were in the middle:
It was a classic coin flip with KQo against the Pocket Fours of Norvaisate. Capucho whiffed the flop, but spiked a King on the turn and after a blank on the river the Portuguese was crowned latest WSOP Bracelet winner in the $600 Deepstack Championship for a staggering $190,274.
