A total of 379 players joined our exclusive WSOP Main Event satellite last night at GGPoker and after many hours of battle, we got to the last three that will be in Las Vegas next month.
This has been a highly anticipated event for quite some time, with players registering for the VIP-Grinders Exclusive WSOP Main Event Satellite as soon as we released the information on this tournament.
Not every day, players get the chance to win a $12,000 package with a $55 investment. Actually, many players got their tickets without investing a cent, as we gave tickets to all new players who deposited at least $50 and to existing players who raked $200 or more between April 23rd and May 30th.
New players just needed to register on GGPoker through us, which would also give them access to many other exclusive promotions.
There were 3 packages of $12,000 on the line, so everyone was aiming for the top 3 and no one wanted to finish 4th.
The Final Eight Face Off
The final table started once only eight players were left, as this tournament was played 8-max.
Brazilian “Mahasiddha” started the final table as the chip lead, while Hungarian “Lilfish91” was in the second place and Norwegian “dingo1” was in the third spot.
Despite a significant lead from “Mahasiddha” and “Lilfish91”, things were very close and as we’ll see later, being in the top places when entering the final table doesn’t necessarily mean you’re guaranteed a ticket.
With the blinds at 6,000 | 12,000 and ante of 1,500, this was the chip count and blinds that each player had when starting the final table:

Nail-Biting Finale: Last Four Battle for $12,000 WSOP Packages
Things went pretty much according to the chip count for the next hours, with the four players who started the final table at the top as the last four remaining in our WSOP Main Event satellite.
With so much on the line, no one wanted to be the bubble boy and miss a golden opportunity of getting a $12,000 package to play in Las Vegas.
Things were very close between all four players, until “Mahasiddha” won an all-in pre-flop against “Lilfish91”, which left the Hungarian with just 92,964 chips with the blinds at 25,000 | 50,000.
The final hand involved “Lilfish91” and “Soulbrighter”, with the Norwegian finding a set of twos on the flop to end the Hungarian’s hopes of a Main Event seat in Las Vegas.
Despite starting the final table in a good position, “Lilfish91” was the unfortunate bubble boy in one of the most anticipated VIP-Grinders exclusive tournaments.
This means that we had found our three big winners of a $12,000 package each for the WSOP Main Event, two from Norway and one from Brazil.
