WSOP Dealer Allowed Player to Hand Over His Big Stack to Another Person!

A player in a 2021 World Series of Poker event has reportedly tried to donate his stack to another player at the table. The WSOP dealer, incredibly, agreed to this transaction before the floor was called who then put a stop to it.

WSOP Player Tries to Hand Over His Stack to another Person

This has to be one of the more bizarre rule infractions seen at the WSOP over the years. Most players are aware of how serious tournament organisers take collusion.

WSOP Dealer Allowed Player to Hand Over His Big Stack to Another Person!

It is one of the most serious breaches of the rules, as well as etiquette, to try and dump chips to another player. So players should be aware that you can’t just hand them over, even transparently.

In this case, we can probably forgive the WSOP dealer as it appears it might have been his first day on the job!

Completely Unaware of the Rules

A player named Josh Heinzl was at the table and he posted that the dealer even checked with the other three players at the table, including the beneficiary.

Before the floor arrived, the beneficiary even suggested that if he couldn’t have the stack then splitting it three ways would be acceptable to him.

Do the WSOP Organisers Have Enough Dealers?

It is worrying to think that this is the calibre of dealer the WSOP participants can expect for the next two months.

News has already leaked that Caesars Entertainment has failed to employ enough dealers, leaving many worrying that events might be cancelled in the coming weeks.

Jon Aguiar, former high-stakes pro working for DraftKings, heard a worrying rumour last week.

Also, the poker rooms of Caesars properties Bally’s and the Flamingo have both shut down for the next two months so the staff can work at the Rio convention Center. There is no more staff to move.

If Josh Heinzl is reporting that half of the dealers he encountered are on their first day, then how much worse can this all get?

Caesars need to get a grip of this and get these dealers trained up to the required standard before people start cancelling their trip to Las Vegas.
