Day 19 of the WSOP 2024 saw a flurry of intense action with two bracelets awarded and the $50K NL High Roller down to the last 13 players.
Timur Margolin took down Event #36: $800 8-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack to win his third bracelet.
And John Fauver won his first in the inaugural Event #37: $10,000 Big O Championship to pocket a nice $681,998 prize.
The biggest event currently running is the $50k High Roller with 13 challengers remaining and Viktor Blom heading the field.
Monster Stack Set for Record Field
Event #38: $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold’em continues to build a monster field with 4,004 players already in the mix.
The prize pool currently stands at a massive $8,194,230 with one more Day 1 starting flight to run today.
ACR Poker’s Ebony Kenney is one of the notable players returning for Day 2 along with 2018 Main Event Champion Jack Sinclair.
Viktor Blom Leading a Tough Field
Online poker legend Viktor “Isildur1” Blom is the man to beat in Event #39: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em (8-handed).
An incredibly strong field has been reduced to only 13 players with a potential final table on the horizon with more than $100,000,000 in winnings.
Sergio Aido has $20 million of his own winnings and is in hot pursuit of Blom with stacks deep enough for a real fight.
Adrian Mateos, Jonathan Jaffe, Martin Kabrhel, and Chance Kornuth are other star names still in with a shout.
In last place, is UFC announcer Bruce Buffer who chose to come and have a battle of his own for a change.

Scott Seiver in the Hunt for a Second Bracelet in 2024
Event #40: $1,500 Razz is down to the final 14 with Scott Seiver in charge at the end of play last night.
Seiver won his fifth bracelet last week and now has a serious chance of making it six, a feat that only 13 players have achieved before. Only 7 players have won 7 or more.
Todd Brunson and Shaun Deeb both came up short.
Bomb Pot Event Debuts on Day 19
The WSOP 2024 has seen multiple new events making a debut but none are quite as snazzy as Event 41: $1,500 Mixed Double Board Bomb Pot.
Registration saw 1,312 entries from which only 167 remain after 15 levels.
Players are fighting for a top prize of $270,820 along with the coveted gold bracelet.
Benny Glaser is having a great series so far and he is one of the players returning today for Day 2.
Americans Shaun Deeb and Arthur Morris will also be back to challenge China’s Dong Chen who has a massive chip lead with 188 big blinds.
David Benyamine is also putting in a strong performance and hanging on in the top 10.

Tiny Attendance in Seven Card Stud Championship
Seven card stud is one of the old school games that died out online after the Black Friday travesty.
But it is still spread wide enough in casinos and card rooms across the United States to expect plenty of support at the World Series of Poker. Sadly, that’s not the case so far this year.
Event #42: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship shuffled up and dealt with only nine players ready to go.
By the end of the day there were 74 with more time to come but don’t expect a monster field in this one.
All that said, there are a few big names in the line-up. Andrew Kelsall leads the way in front of Australian Daniel Mayoh.
Yuri Dzivielevski is just behind in sixth place.
Day 20 promises a lot of exciting action with the $50K NL High Roller playing to a finish and we will see if the Monster Stack breaks the attendance record.
