The World Poker Tour (WPT) Cambodia Championship has begun at the luxury resort of NagaWorld in Phnom Penh.
Running from February 6 – 24, the series has scheduled five or six events on most days throughout, including the WPT Prime Cambodia Championship.
This is a $1,100 buy-in event with a whopping $750,000 guarantee. Three Day1 starting flights will sort out the challengers aiming for a Day 2 appearance, all starting at 11:30 a.m. local time on February 14-16.
Day 2 and Day 3 will close out the tournament on February 17 and February 18.
This promises to be an eye-catching event and with 40 minute levels and 200 big blind deep starting stacks, there will be plenty of battling to fight through before Day 2 is even thought about.
The last time the WPT stopped off in Cambodia was in 2023 where we saw a bumper crowd of 1,011 entries which almost doubled the $500K guarantee.
There is also the $3,500 WPT Cambodia Championship, scheduled for February 19-24. A $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool is an increase from last year’s $1 million guarantee.
