There have been many iconic moments caught on camera at a WSOP Final Table and now another has just been added: A stomach-turning blow to the crown jewels felling a spectator!

“Was that a shot to the … did you catch that in the background?!”a shocked Brett Hanks asked in the commentary booth during the final table of event #15, the $1500 6-handed NLH.
Hanks added: “This guy’s going down. Oh god, she just hit him right in the goods!”
“Oh, that’s dirty!” was co-commentator David Tuchman’s reading.
Poker Twitter was soon awash with comments, Farah Galfond, the wife of PLO maestro Phil Galfond, tweeting: “Omg and she’s smiling after wtf.”
The public was split on whether the incident was funny, horrifying (for men, at least) or just downright bad behaviour.
- He said he wanted to know what playing PLO feels like.
- What did he say that was so egregious. Probably ‘Hellmuth is a great cash game player’.
- WSOP should freeroll them in the tag team.
- What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

The couple involved in the viral video were later tracked down and revealed they couldn’t actually remember what caused the low blow.
“Maybe we drank too much, so I was probably rude!” said the unnamed man, apparently taking it all as part of a day’s fun at the WSOP.
When asked if he deserved it, his friend, who also had a memory blackout of what he’d said to provoke her, claimed: “Yes, of course.”
For those wondering about the actual poker being played in the foreground, Brazil’s Rafael Reis emerged victorious on this WSOP Final Table took the bracelet and $465,501 top prize.
