Veronica Brill has faced a barrage of abuse following an interview where she discussed the ongoing sexual harassment scandal at Hustler Casino Live.
Brill detailed her relationship with the popular live poker show and her interactions with Nick Vertucci.
In response, Todd Witteles fired shots on X/Twitter:
“Don’t believe a word she says. Veronica only cares about Veronica.
This is damage control, which she waited days to possibly blow over before doing.
There is a very long trail of people she has backstabbed and turned on, in order to gain clout or attention.
I’m one of them.”
In the interview with PokerOrg, Brill explains how she witnessed suspect behaviour from Vertucci and confronted him about it.
Vertucci managed to convince her that nothing was untoward and she claims she believed this. With no hard evidence, there was no reason to go public with unfounded allegations.
Witteles alleged that Brill knew what was going on all along and wrote that nobody should believe her, calling it damage control.
Vertucci now appears to have shifted away from the Hustler Casino Live setup, although as part owner we must assume there must still be a sale negotiation to conduct.
During the interview, Brill certainly appears to have been up front about what she witnessed, and those who claim otherwise on social media all seem to have had previous gripes with her.
Tom Dwan was one big name who stood up to defend Brill, writing:
“Confident this is a really bad read man. I definitely don’t always agree with her. But in my experience she cares a lot more about doing the right thing than most people. And also cares more about doing the right thing than pretending to/what people think.”
Mike Postle Throws in Some Comments
For those not in the know, Veronica Brill was the person who outed Mike Postle when that cheating scandal blew up a few years ago.
Brill also took flak for not immediately going public with what she knew or suspected. Now, people are using this as a reason to attack her over not making allegations about Nick Vertucci.
During the X/Twitter conversation, Mike Postle appeared and flat out asked when Brill would be ready to face him with no questions off limits.

He continued:
“I’ll gladly answer every single question you have for me. But of course you have to answer all of mine. But that’s also why you can’t face me.
“You’ve lied and contradicted yourself nonstop for 5 years now. I know your dirty past. Why do you think I haven’t minded you shooting your mouth? So when can we book our 1v1?”
And then Doug Polk jumped in to remind Postle that he himself is welcome to do an interview one-on-one any time he likes. This is definitely something we’d all like to see.
And we shouldn’t forget that there is also a poker challenge on the table for Mike Postle to accept at the Lodge Card Club in Texas.
