“patrick” Wins $5,200 High Roller Sunday Big Game for $123,725 at partypoker

The “Big Game” is the nickname of the world’s most famous super high stakes cash game at the Bellagio. The Sunday Big Game is something quite different – it’s partypoker’s new high roller Sunday poker tournament series.
The inaugural event was held last week and was won by the British Charles “jizoint” Combes.
Yesterday, it returned with its $5,200 buy-in and $500,000 guarantee. That guarantee was narrowly passed thanks to the 101 entries.
Eventually, a player playing under the simple screen name “patrick” emerged as the victor and pocketed $123,725.
In the 5th spot, we see a familiar name. “Shaundeeb” won $32,825 last night.
However, it is unclear if it’s actually the famous American poker pro from New York state or just an avid fan of his. Shaun Deeb used the “shaundeeb” alias on PokerStars and UltimateBet. However, at the time of this Sunday poker tournament, he was still in Rozvadov grinding in the Colossus at the WSOP Europe, so it’s unlikely it was actually him in the party tourney.
“AndreyBolkonsky” Wins $2,100 High Roller Gladiator for $73,804

Partypoker’s signature Sunday bounty tourneys didn’t go anywhere despite the introduction of the new Sunday high roller.
The $2,100 Gladiator was back with a total of 143 entries. “AndreyBolkonsky”, a player who pays homage to a character in the Leo Tolstoy novel War and Peace, was the one to top the field for $28,705 plus the $44,379 he collected in bounties along the way.
We also had some famous players in the mix, as usual for a big buy-in Sunday poker tournament on partypoker.
Roberto Romanello managed to make an ITM finish. Jaime Staples didn’t, but won $1,444 in bounties as a “consolation prize”.
Best of luck on the grind today everyone! Huge day at @partypoker with Day 2 of the million (and new day 1). If you are a small stakes player, there is insane satellite value right now. Get in there!

Sami “MiMosa1” Kelopuro Wins Invitational $25K Blade for $459,857 at Natural8

The Sunday poker tournament action is insane over at Natural8.
$25,000 buy-in high rollers start in every couple hours and there’s dozens of players happy to jump into the action.
The biggest score was by Sami “MiMosa1” Kelopuro last Sunday. He took down the biggest invitational $25K with 44 entries and won a whopping $460,000. The Finnish poker pro usually plays under his famous screen “LarsLuzak” on other sites.
Bryn Kenney makes back-to-back final tables in the $25k Blade within 6 hours!
Evidently, he isn’t the only famous player grinding super high stakes tourneys on Natural8. The biggest live tournament winner of all time, Bryn Kenney, has also added a few more modest cashes to his tally last Sunday.
He finished 2nd and 3rd in two $25K Blades within the span of 6 hours for $178,106 and $136,042, respectively.
“Ben_Apart” Wins SUNDAY MILLION for 119,638 at PokerStars
[go_pricing id=”pokerstars_sundaymillion_1103″]
On any given Sunday, the $109 SUNDAY MILLION attracts thousands and thousands of players with its $1 million guarantee. This time, a total of 11,878 players registered.
A young man from Norway, playing under the screen name “Ben_Apart” achieved the impressive feat of topping that gigantic field after over 14 hours of play. He was rewarded with just under $120,000.
His PocketFives profile shows $325,767 in lifetime MTT winnings. That “resume” now got a nice boost.
It’s also interesting to note that while his P5 page claims he is from Norway, in the PokerStars lobby he’s tagged as a British player. That is likely due to the strict Norwegian online gambling laws.
