Shaun Deeb Reveals Problem with Unethical Poker Dealers in Texas

Shaun Deeb has revealed that there have been multiple mechanic poker dealers working the live scene in Texas.

The American tweeted a video of one of these dealers in action at Legends Poker Room in Houston, showing him separating the cards and leaving the bottom of the deck untouched rather than properly shuffling the order.

Although the video quality isn’t great, the skill level of the dealer is so poor that it’s clear what he is trying to do.

Scott Seiver replied to the post saying it’s a proper amateur attempt. Another poster was so stunned at how obvious the scam was that he thought it was as bad as him trying to copy a professional on a YouTube video.

Legends Poker Room took a lot of flak in the comments but it’s fair to assume that the level of paranoia jumps up a level when something like this comes to light.

Shaun Deeb was so disgusted by what he saw that he contacted a floor person from Legends only to be told that several dealers have been fired recently for such antics.

“I have spoken to a floor person of legends who confirmed multiple dealers were fired for messing with the decks in the past month I am disappointed that no players were caught and the dealers were not prosecuted or outed so they can go do it elsewhere”

Legendary card sharp Houston Curtis watched all of the videos posted in the threads and confirmed that they all displayed cheating.

He promised to upload a series of clips in the coming days to show exactly what the dealers are trying to do and what players should watch out for.

It was also brought up that dealers have been known to cheat for the biggest tippers in the past. This is likely done without the player’s knowing; what Houston Curtis calls a “dummy in the dark”.

More worryingly, it has turned out that none of these dealers who were fired got named to warn other card rooms from taking them on.

There was also no concerted effort to uncover any link between players and these unscrupulous dealers. It was pointed out that camera footage would easily show which players benefited.
