Shaun Deeb is approaching the climax of his $1,000,000 body fat loss prop bet against Bill Perkins and it’s clear to see that he is about to win it.
The final weigh-in is scheduled for around four months’ time and looking at the recent Dexa scan results and photo updates, Shaun Deeb deserves every cent if he pulls it off.

The soon to be 38 years old American started the challenge at a hefty 306lbs (139kg) and weighed in last week at an impressive 223lbs (101kg).
The man deserves a medal for pulling that off even if he falls short of the mark against Bill Perkins.
The bet was Deeb’s $100,000 against a cool $1,000,000 from Bill Perkins that the former could get his body fat percentage down to a respectable 17% by the start of the 2024 World Series of Poker.
From a starting point of more than 40%, this was no small feat. Doug Polk also undertook a similar challenge against Bill Perkins in 2022 and failed to reach 13.85% with $200,000 on the line.

As well as a monster pay day at stake, there is no doubt that Shaun Deeb will be wanting to stick it to the naysayers.
At the start of the weight loss bet, a Twitter poll of 1,300 people showed only 37% expected Deeb to claim victory. A whopping 63% thought that he no chance whatsoever.
That alone would be a significant motivational factor for most top-level poker players.
And what about when it’s all over? Many will hope that Deeb can continue his newfound healthy lifestyle.
