Santhosh Suvarna Wins Second Bracelet in $250K Super High Roller

Santhosh Survana has captured his second WSOP bracelet after crushing an all-star final table in the biggest event yet this summer.

The Indian high-stakes reg appeared on the scene only 21 months ago, slipping effortlessly into the world of massive tournament buy-ins in the Triton Super High Roller Series and nosebleed cash games.

His affable personality combined with a fearless nature at the table has made him stand out and become one of the most popular players in the game.

But it’s not all about how he comes across whilst playing, because his skills were obviously underestimated. The casino owner was immediately pegged as a rich recreational player but he has soon put that right.

Although Survana’s first bracelet win in a $50K WSOPE event was highly impressive, this win last night has to be the peak of his career.

Just take a look at the players he was lined up against in this 75-player field fighting over a $18,675,000 prize pool.

Final Action

Fourteen players returned to battle over the twelve prizes and it didn’t take long for a final table to be formed.

Online PLO wizard Ben Tollerene quickly burst into action, knocking out three players in quick succession, including Phil Ivey, and then the final nine took their seats at the feature table.

But even without Ivey, Adrian Kateos and Jonathan Jaffe, the final table didn’t really get any softer.

Then one by one they all started to fall, with Tollerene doing most of the work, it has to be said. It really was going to take a huge effort to stop him in his tracks.

Survana was the man to send Chris Hunichen to the rail in third place, although he was probably still smiling after his first bracelet win the other day.

And now the Indian started to pick up the pace, steadily picking up more pots than he lost to gain the chip lead.

It was a tough beat when Tollerene’s two pair came up against Survana’s straight to leave him with barely any chips or hope.

Only a couple of hands later the American took his chances and was ahead through the turn, but a fortunate river turned the tables leaving Santhosh Survana as the champion in the biggest event in the WSOP 2024 so far.
