ACR Poker’s No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty Venom tournaments have been won by ‘S1NISTR0’ & ‘Skretcher9’ for a combined $1,024,178.
After three days of action, the two most anticipated online poker events have come to a close with some player winning life-changing prize money.
Mystery Bounty Venom Action Recap
Across more than a month’s worth of Day 1 starting flights, we saw a field of 3,519 entries build up a prize pool of $8,797,500, comfortably beating the $8 million guarantee.
$690,155 awaited the winner with a boatload of cash to be won from the bounty pool.
Day 2 saw huge bounty paid out to ACR Poker ambassador Ebony Kenney — a whopping $150,000!
And by the end of the day, the field had reduced to the final nine contenders. Ethan ‘RampagePoker’ Yau was amongst them, as well as Ian ‘RiverRiot72’ Matakis who won 2023 WSOP Player of the Year and has reached a pair of Venom final tables already.
‘Silskyer’ was the first player to leave, just before we saw one of the most cruel all-in confrontations possible.
Matakis held J♠ J♦ and was looking tidy on a flop of K♥ K♠ J♣. Sadly for the American, ‘S1NISTR0’ flipped over K♦ K♣ when the chips went in and it was game over.
There was more bad luck coming soon after, this time it was Rampage who suffered.
Yau had been card dead for a while, and when he was dealt 10♥ 10♠ it was time to make a move. ‘Thelittle200’ obliged and flipped over A♣ K♦.
The board ran out 4♠ A♦ A♠ K♣ 4♦ and Yau was out in sixth place for a $137,738 prize plus $35,000 in bounties.
As soon as three-handed play was about to kick off, ‘S1NISTR0’, Daniel ‘SmilleThHero’ Smiljkovic, and ‘Thelittle200’ all agreed to chop up the remainder of the prize pool, ending the event on the spot.
The PLO event was as action packed as expected, with plenty of high-profile names among the PLO specialists.
Dirk ‘VeniVidi’ Gerrits was one, although he is better known for his PLO cash game exploits. On ACR Poker you will find him using the screen name ‘Bodamos007’.
‘Skretcher9’ took down the event, bagging a nice prize of $210,631 plus $65,000 in bounties.
But it was ‘peyton_manning’, the runner-up, who actually ended up with the biggest pile of cash as the event closed out.
$158,161 was a nice enough prize but the $230,000 from bounties no doubt made his year so far.
