Russian Crusher “RRomshaka” Scoops 4th GGMillion$ Title

Roman “RRomashka” Emelyanov scooped the weekly biggie on GGPoker last night, the Russian pro bagging his fourth GGMillion$ SHR title and $365,869.

The 180 entries to the $10k buy-in Super High Roller which started last Sunday produced a $1.8million prizepool and as usual attracted the cream of the highstakes online MTT crop.

Among those who made it to the final table, Finnish online legend Samuel Vousden, with more than $21million in GGPoker earnings to his name.

With previous wins for almost everyone at the table, the one unknown was “LuLove”, anonymous and flying the Canadian flag while playing their first-ever GGMillion$ SHR.

Big Bang Theory

Play started with a bang when the two short stacks clashed, Mig Dai 310’s pocket 8s holding up against Pablo Silva’s A♠ J♣ . Straver soon followed him to the rail, losing a “55:45” vs Vousden…

“RRomashka”, the Russian businessman/pro Roman Emelyanov, was by now the short stack but watched on as yet another player hit the rails, China’s “Ming Dai 310” adding another $85k to his $5million+ GGPoker winnings.

Double double-up!

Things improved significantly for “Romashka” (who Jeff Gross in the livestream insists on calling “Romanoshka!”) almost quadrupling his stack after things got spicy pre-flop…

Eventually all-in against Darie, the AK held up and “Romashka” was back in the game.

Garbi fell in the first of the 6-figure payout spots, and then Romanian Darie, playing under the Austrian flag, ran fishhooks into LuLove’s kings to exit in 5th for $138,285

Chop or No Chop?

Vousden was looking for GGMillion$ win number 5 but his hopes were dashed when he shoved his big blind on Romashka’s small blind raise…

A chop seemed more likely than not on the river but instead…

…and Vousden was gone.

LuLove’s brave bid ended when they couldn’t escape a river shove from the Russian, top pair having run into trips and that was that – 3rd place and $224,932 a very tidy return for a first effort.

Racing heads-up…

Heads-up between Messere and Romashka began with almost level stacks but the Russian cranked up the gears and the final hand saw a classic race…
