Top 21 Leaderboard Point Earners Will Compete To Become 2022 PGT Champion

The PokerGo Tour Championship takes place at the end of the season, following the conclusion of all qualifying PGT tournaments.

The top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard will compete in the PokerGo Tour Championship. Players will begin the PGT Championship with starting chip stacks based on leaderboard points earned throughout the season, and play in the PGT Championship will begin with three seven-handed tables.

$500,000 Winner-Takes-All Tournament

The two-day tournament will culminate with the winner taking home a $500,000 prize and being crowned PGT champion. The event’s final table will be played six-handed.

The 2022 PGT season is already off and running with several events already complete. Nick Petrangelo is the current leaderboard frontrunner thanks to four cash finishes and three victories on the PGT, having won more than $2,100,000 already.

The inaugural season of the PGT took place in 2021. Tour events collectively generated nearly 18,000 entries and more than $270,000,000 in prize money. Ali Imsirovic was crowned 2021 PGT Player of the Year, winning $200,000.
