Phil Hellmuth has once again made himself a figure of fun, by berating poker tournament god Michael Addamo on Twitter.
The 16-time WSOP bracelet winner took to social media to complain about his opponent’s play, insinuating that a couple of standard plays were terrible. High stakes reg Dan Smith couldn’t resist poking some fun.
Opened 5K, Then called 38,700 total w 8-8, felt certain all in player didn’t have me beat! Was right, then flopped top set, but he had Kc-Qc, flop 8s-4c-2c, turn 5h, river 10c, sigh. Later, I smooth called in small w Q-9, so BB could move in, SNAPPED him! His J-2 won, sigh… pic.twitter.com/Xl8ZYKHwdC

Phil Hellmuth Berates Michael Addamo for His Tournament Play
It’s old news that Phil Hellmuth likes to loudly berate other players at his table, but this moan has to be one of the most laughable.
Put simply: Michael Addamo is a true candidate for best player around right now.
Dave “Viffer” Peat also saw the funny side and said how Hellmuth will always be happy to teach Addamo something.
Yeah phill always teaching people, im sure he will be happy to teach addamo some more.

Incredibly, all Addamo did in the first hand was to jam KcQc over Hellmuth’s open for less than 20bb. The “Poker Brat” called it off with pocket eights and flopped top set against the Australian’s flush draw; and we’re sure the readers can work out what happened next!
Hellmuth cried out at the table:
“All in with king-queen. And you wonder how I win all these tournaments,”
In the other hand Hellmuth limped in the small blind with queen-nine to induce a shove from Addamo in the big blind, which he promptly called and then lost.
Is Michael Addamo the Best Poker Tournament Player in the World?
It’s worth looking over some of Michael Addamo’s recent results to appreciate just how good he is and what an amazing roll he is currently on.
When he arrived in Las Vegas this autumn, what had already been a couple of great years went into overdrive.
His online results during the pandemic were amazing, particularly in the Super High Roller Bowl events but three wins and a second and third place in the PokerGO Tour at the Aria Casino was almost unthinkable.
These tournaments ranged from $50,000 buy-in up to $300,000.
The World Series of Poker had already begun at the tail end of these events when Addamo’s first tournament, the $50,000 NL High Roller, was chalked up as another great victory in a tough field, defeating Justin Bonomo heads-up.
Then it was back to the Aria Casino to claim yet another PokerGO Tour event win.
That makes a grand total of $7,460,268 in live tournament winnings since September 17—only 41 days between first and last cashes.
Michael Addamo’s career winnings for live tournaments now stands at $15,763,525. He has almost doubled what he had before landing in the United States.
