Partypoker have unveiled their latest batch of software updates, with Mac users and tournament players benefitting most from a raft of improvements to the client…

The highlights for Mac users revolve around cosmetic changes that bring the playing experience up to the standard that Windows users have had for a long time.
The List of the Partypoker Software Update Improvements
- New Big Blinds (BB’s) count display, allowing player stacks to be displayed in BB’s
- New oval and racetrack table shape with improved player plates
- Customisable table felt and backgrounds with special theme additions
- New and improved player notes, providing more colour options and optimising the display of notes on the player plate

In addition, the software upgrades for Mac people also now give you the ability to also choose different card backs and fronts, as well as offering you a preview of your customisations (in the updated themes section in settings).
Moving on to changes that affect tournament players, several enhancements have been made to improve the playing experience on both Mac and Windows platforms.
Improvements to the Partypoker MTT Tables
Furthermore, partypoker introduced the new so-called ‘table data points’, reducing or nullifying the need to have a separate tournament lobby window open.
Now you can see:
- Position – A player’s position and the total number of players remaining in the tournament
- Average Stack – Display of the average stack for the tournament or, if a player is displaying chips in big blinds, the average big blinds
- In The Money (ITM) – The ITM indicator displays how many prizes will be awarded for the tournament
- Multi-colour ITM display- Position and ITM will be highlighted depending on how close a tournament is to the prize pay-out:
- No highlight when the field remaining is greater than 120% of number of players ITM
- Amber highlight when field remaining is 120% or less of number of players ITM
- Green highlight once the field reaches ITM
These are all included in a small but clear tournament table field at the top left of your game window. You can take a look at the changes below.

There are a few other useful additions to the partypoker software, with a Late Reg Countdown among them. This has been added to the status column and the right-hand panel for a selected tournament in the lobby, making it much clearer to players when late registration will close.
Upcoming Tournament Series on Partypoker
