It’s “Goodbye COVID restrictions, hello EPT Prague 2022!” as live poker returns to normality in the Czech Republic next month. King’s Casino at the Hilton has confirmed that COVID passes will not be required to play the PokerStars live event.
⚠️ REMINDER No Covid pass needed ⚠️
For those, who may have missed the announcement: The Czech Republic have dropped all covid entry restrictions! Our guests no longer need a covid-certificate / negative PCR to visit King’s.

No proof of vaccine will be needed and it is hoped that the country will be mask-free too, with temperature checks upon entry the only reminder that things aren’t quite 100% back to normal when the EPT show comes to town.
Leon Tsoukernik bought the Prague Hilton’s Casino Atrium in 2019 to add to his King’s casino brand, his “poker island” Rozvadov venue a staple of European poker, hosting multiple national and international events, including the WSOP Europe.
Last year’s EPT Prague, however, fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic, with an online version taking its place, but the provisional dates set for 2022 – March 5th -16th – seem almost certain to be adhered to.
Key events on the EPT Prague 2022 schedule include the opening €1,100 buy-in EPT National, a €50k Super High Roller, and the EPT Prague €5,300 Main Event.

Battle of Malta sees Double in 2022!
Things are looking much brighter for fans of the live felt, with news that not one, but two Battle of Malta festivals will be taking place in 2022.
A Spring edition is set to run from April 20-26 at the InterContinental Conference Centre in St Julian’s with a very healthy €500,000 guarantee for the €555 buy-in Battle of Malta Main Event likely to draw in the poker crowds.
There will also be PLO and Bounty tournaments, Turbo events, a High Roller for the big spenders, and the ever-popular Poker League of Nations Ladies Event, with the same to look forward to later in the year.
Having been forced online in both 2020 and 2021, courtesy of “a really great collaboration with GGPoker”, the Battle of Malta organisers decided they would catch up by offering a second running in 2022.
The dates are still to be set in stone, but October looks likely, with Battle of Malta Marketing & Events coordinator, Telly Bartolo, stating: “The success of the two online Battle of Malta festivals will give this year’s live events a real boost.”
“Players from all over the world have now heard about the Battle of Malta and will want to see our beautiful Mediterranean island for themselves as well as enjoy the excitement of competing in a €500,000 guarantee real-life event.”
