Paris Saint-Germain football star Neymar was conspicuously absent from his team’s title celebrations this weekend as the Brazilian preferred to play poker in Monte Carlo.
The world-class forward is known for his love of the game and decided to travel to the Formula One Grand Prix in Monaco while getting in a few hands too.

Clearly, Neymar wasn’t put off after his €1 million loss some weeks ago. The 31-year-old famously lost the huge sum while streaming on Twitch and then mocked himself with fake tears, not bothered in the slightest.
The Grand Prix in Monte Carlo is one of the jewels of the sport, with the best drivers seen as megastars in sport on a par with the best footballers.
That said, Neymar was clearly the main attraction in the Monte Carlo Casino as F1 media personal queued to try and play some hands with the PSG star.

Why Did Neymar Snub His Teammates?
PSG boss Christophe Galtier didn’t criticise his player for snubbing his teammates in celebration but it remains to be seen if he had permission to travel.
“He has problems getting around, but he was present yesterday in the locker room for the last training session. Don’t jump to conclusions.”
Mobility issues or not, Neymar’s switch to the French champions has not been as smooth as many predicted leading to speculation that they wish to offload the most expensive footballer in history.
Manchester United were reported to have shown interest but there has been little movement in the transfer talks.
Maybe Neymar will have more time than expected to play poker in the future as his footballing career begins to stall.
