Vocaaas from the Czech Republic was the man of the day at the 2023 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) by winning one event and chip leading after Day 1 in another.
The online reg kicked off his sun run by beating a 530-player-field in WCOOP Event #7-H, a $530 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo PKO.
$250,000 was the guarantee, and it was just exceeded, so that there was $265,000 in the prize pool and a whopping $46,812.21 up top.
Vocaaas defeated “grinder1992” from Bulgaria to take home the first place prize and his first-ever WCOOP Bracelet.
And Vocaaas was not done yet, as he also had a deep run in WCOOP Event #2-H, the WCOOP Kickoff $530 NLHE.
This is a 2-Day-Event and a staggering 666 entries boosted the $300K GTD by 11%.
Only 29 players are left after the first day and all of them have secured a minimum of $1,993.97 with a staggering $57,432.17 up top.
Several notables such as Leonid “Pwndidi” Yanovich, Fabiano “Kovalski1” Kovalski, Peter “Belabacsi” Traply and 2022 WSOP Main Event Champion Espen “Hymn2Ninkasi” Jörstad are still in.

Triple Victory for Canada in the 888poker Sunday Big Shot
The Sunday Big Shot is one of the most popular weekly tournaments at 888poker.
