Ole Schemion with a victory and Runner-Up finish at the WSOPC
The WSOP Spring Circuit Online Series is in full swing at GGNetwork. One of the big names, who stood out from the rest last night, was Ole Schemion with a victory and Runner-Up finish.
Schemion kicked things off with a final table in the $5,250 Bounty Hunters Super High Roller.
32 players generated a $160,000 prize pool with a whopping $59,001.02 up top. Notables making the FT were Joao “Naza114” Viera, Isaac Haxton, Pablo Silva and Aleks “APonakov” Ponakovs.
The latter not only made it to heads-up play, but also defeated Ole Schemion one on one to add another major victory.
Schemion still banked a whopping $29,922.57 for his Runner-Up finish and was far from being done yet.
In the WSOPC $525 Bounty Hunters HR Encore, he again made it all the way to the heads-up and this time he was the one taking home the major title.
Ole defeated “Funplayerrr” from Austria heads-up to add another title to his long list of online major victories. The German poker legend took home $26,872.80 for his efforts.
Further big names, who made the final table, were Conor Beresford in 3rd place for $15,399.39, Turkish pro Tinay Aksoy (4./$11,142.38) and Roman Hrabec from the Czech Republic in 7th place for $4,447.56.
Dream Sunday Grind for Dominik Nitsche at PokerStars
Another top pro, who had a sunrun in last night’s Sunday Grind was Dominik Nitsche in the PokerStars High Roller Club.
Nitsche, who plays under the nick name “Bounatirou” reached not one, not two, but three final tables in one night!
Dominik started his sunrun with a second place finish in the High Roller Club: $530 Sunday Marathon for $5,776.56.
The trophy and $8,436.94 first place prize went to “Atilano2300” from Switzerland, who prevailed on a very tough final table including the likes of Sam Grafton, Patrick Leonard, Artem “veeea” Vezhenkov and Jordan “JWPRODIGY” Westmorland.
And Dominik Nitsche still had two more deep runs going. The first one took him to the Grand Finale of the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up.
Once again, we saw a really strong line-up featuring Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot, Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo Dominguez, Sam “SamSquid” Grafton, Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche and Number 1 online tournament player in the world Niklas “Lena900” Astedt.
This time Nitsche settled for 4th place worth $6,456.14, while Sam Grafton took home the title and $15,364.89 first prize.
However, Dominik was still hungry for more. In his third High Roller Club final table of the night, in the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic, the 888poker pro managed to outlast a field of 34 entries and secured the prestigious title.
Only five places were paid and with Sintoras, Jonathan “apestyles” Van Fleet and Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche three of them were taken by online crushers.
Very impressive showing by Dominik Nitsche and Ole Schemion, who show why they both are among the top poker tournament players since more than eleven years.
