48,130 Entries at the Sunday Million 16th Anniversary!
The Sunday Million Anniversary is one of the absolute online poker highlights of the year as it always generates one of the biggest prize pools.
So far the tournament has an incredible 48,130 entries, but this is still not enough to reach the massive $10,000,000 Guarantee!
At least 50,000 entries are necessary to not show an overlay, but late registration is still possible until the start of today’s Day 2.
There are only 8,811 players left and 7,167 places are pair, which means late registration has pretty decent value.
Chip leader is Brazilian player “petermtv”, but it’s still a long way to go.
2,865 players more needed to avoid an Overlay at the GGMasters Overlay Edition
Not only PokerStars celebrates Anniversaries of its flagship tournaments with a big bang, but also GGNetwork. The 2nd Anniversary of the GGMasters has a whopping $5,000,000 prize pool for a tiny buy-in of only $150. Amazing value!
Day 1 was split into three flights: One for Asia, one for Europe and the last one for North America.
The late registration is also still open until the start of Day 2 at 6 pm CET and GG needs 2,865 players more only to cover the guarantee!
6,323 out of a staggering 33,117 players made it through to Day 2 so far with “Insomnia” from Turkey leading the pack.
Isaac Haxton and Daniel Dvoress chop $25k SHR for $250,000 each
There were obviously also Sunday tournaments, which were played down to the winner, with the biggest prized being the $25,500 Sunday Super HR at GGNetwork.
35 of the best tournament players accepted the challenge and created a $875,000 prize pool with $257,819 up top.
Only five places were paid and tournament superstars Michael Addamo and Yuri “theNERDguy” Dzivielevski were the last two players to go away empty-handed.
Only big names made the money namely Artur Martirosian, Adrian Mateos, Lev “LevMeAlone” Gottlieb, Daniel Dvoress and Isaac Haxton, which demonstrates the enormous strength of the field.
The latter two ended up playing for the prestigious trophy and since both of them are heads-up specialists, they decided to chop the remaining prize pool securing both of them a staggering $250,000 score.
