“Succeeed“ Miegel ships the Sunday High Roller
Online poker fans most certainly came across the nick name “Succeeed” as he is made a name for himself in the high stakes tournaments at PokerStars.
Behind the alias is young German player Jakob Miegel and last night he added a major title to his impressive results.
82 top players signed up for the $1,050 Sunday High Roller and smashed the $50,000 guarantee by more than 60%! In the end there was $82,000 in the prize pool and a whopping $25,000 up top.
Many big names made the final table such as online legend Artem “veeea” Vezhenkov, Sam “SamSquid” Grafton and Rodrigo “seijistar” Seiji.
The heads-up was a neighbour duel between Succeeed, who is residing in Austria and Suisse player “thrillhOuse”.
Succeeed lived up to his name and succeeded in the end to add a whopping $14,671.87 in bounties on top of the $9,675.72 first prize.
Baca4b surprises all in breakthrough Titans Event victory
The Titans Event at PokerStars is the toughest weekly tournament to win due to its large buy-in.
Only 34 of the world’s best paid the $5,200 entry fee and created a $235,000 prize pool, which was easily enough to exceed the $150K guarantee.
Only five places were paid with a not at all mini min-cash of $20,217.52, Bubble boy became no one else but high roller crusher Christoph “26071985” Vogelsang
Biggest names among the final five were Andrey “Kot_Spartac” Kotelnikov and Rodrigo “SELOUAN1991” Selouan, but they busted in 4th and 5th place.
Heads-up for the prestigious title surprisingly were two unknown players with Baca4b from Poland and AcidVaule. The former came out on top to secure a career-high $85,009.41 score.
Brazilian Domination in the MicroMillions Main Event
The highlight of the PokerStars Sunday Grind was the MicroMillions Main Event, where you had the unique chance to play for a small buy-in of only $22 for a huge $500,000 guarantee.
And the prizes even ended up being much larger than that as a staggering 27,544 players created a $550,880 prize pool with a whopping $36,295.07 up top.
The final table was total Brazilian Domination as 6 out of 9 players came from Brazil. That’s why it was no surprise that one of them ended up winning the whole thing.
“matthews085” beat “jinpot139” from the UK heads-up to add a whopping $12,423 in bounties on top of the $23,872 first prize.
