Absolute highlight of the 2021 Battle of Malta online tournament series at GGNetwork was of course the Main Event with a staggering €3,000,000 guarantee.
The tournament was a big success as 6,591 entries created an incredible €3.443.797,50 prize pool and boosted the guarantee by more than 12%.
There was a whopping €378.285,90 up top and Kiwi player and GG regular “Raggaz” secured a career-high score by beating “petiperi” from Turkey heads-up to take down this prestigious title.
Biggest name on the final table was partypoker pro Dzmitry Urbanovich, who finished in a strong 3rd place for a whopping €212.724,05.

And there were more huge prize pools up for grabs at the 2021 Battle of Malta Online final day. The $1,050 Battle of Malta: GGMasters High Rollers had a staggering €1,000,000 guarantee and a $139,654.55 first prize.
Two notables made the final table with Russian top pro Viktor Ustimov (4./$60,967.03) and Ilya Anatski from Belarus (8./$20,190.63).
The trophy went to Turkey in form of “veca”, who defeated “pwhwin” from China heads-up for the title.

All good things come in threes as there was another tournament with a seven-figure guarantee. The Battle of Malta Bounty Hunters HR Main Event also had a guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000 and $103K up top.
A whopping 1,993 registered and only one big name made it through to the grand finale. Konstantin Maslak is not only a Chess Grandmaster, but also a WSOP Bracelet winner.
This time he had to leave the final table as the first player though by finishing in 9th place for $16,559.53.
The victory went to Canadian player “Silverstein”, whose decision to fire three bullets turned out to be golden as he turned $3,150 into a whopping $102,519.61.

The Grand is the most prestigious weekly tournament at partypoker. Last night 201 players signed up and generated a $200,414 prize pool.
Due to its high buy-in of $1,050 the Grand field consists mainly of top pros and almost always produces tough final tables.
While online tournament crushers Jans “Graftekkel” Arends, Pedro Padilha and Talal Shakerchi all just missed the final table, there were several big names that made it through.
Namely Thomas “WushuTM” Mühlöcker, Pablo “pabritz” Brito, Daan “DaanOss” Mulders, Rok Gostisa, online legend Simon “C.Darwin2” Mattson and Sergio Aido.
The latter even made it to heads-up play, but surprisingly lost against French underdog Nicolas Maillaud, who took down one of the most prestigious titles and biggest scores of his poker career.
