Niklas Astedt wins two major events in one night
Online legend Niklas “Lena900” Astedt is absolutely unstoppable lately winning one major tournament after another.
In last night’s Sunday Grind he continued his insane winning streak by shipping partypoker’s signature online tournament The Grand for $45,062.22.
Astedt prevailed on a tough final table featuring the likes of Daan „DaanOss“ Mulders, Jeff Gross, Leon Sturm,, Chris Klodnicki and 2020 WSOP Main Event Champion Damian Salas.
The latter even made it to heads-up play, where he couldn’t overcome the online monster that Niklas Astedt is.
And the Swede was still hungry for more. The $1,050 Supersonic at PokerStars is a fixture in the Sunday Grind schedule of most top pros.65 players created a $66,030.90 with $23,212.42 up top.
The Supersonic is played as 6-max event and Twitch Poker icon Lex Veldhuis became final table bubble boy by finishing in 7th place for $2,768.
However, several notables made it into the Grand Finale including online superstars Lena900, Christian “WATnlos” Rudolph (4./$6,744) and Sintoras (3./$10,183).
Once again nobody was able to stop Niklas Astedt though, who defeated Brazilian pro Pedro “PaDilha” SP Padilha heads-up.
Dominik Nitsche takes down Sunday HR for $33,265.09
Another top pro, who is currently on a roll, is Dominik Nitsche aka Bounatirou on PokerStars.
The High Roller Club: $1,050 Sunday HR is one of the most prestigious weekly tournaments at stars and last night it generated a 165 player-strong-field and a $165,000 prize pool.
We saw an absolutely insane final table with the last seven players: “Ssick_One”, “WhaTisLOve3”, Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, “tinnoemulder”, Sam “SamSquid” Grafton, Tomi “elmerixx” Brouk and Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche all being online legends!
Nitsche once again proved his extra class by beating this insanely strong field and FT to take home a well-deserved $33,265.09 first place prize.
