Event #11: $400 COLOSSUS, $2.5M GTD was the big highlight at the WSOPC this weekend.
The tournament was a big success generating over 10,000 entries and $2.5 million guarantee by more than 50%!
There were $3,822,416 in the prize pool and due to the insane payjumps up top the last three players understandably struck a deal that guaranteed each of them more than $300,000!
“TooStonedMonkey” from Canada secured himself the biggest cheque with $342,129, followed by “PDC Mayor”, who won the WSOP Circuit Ring and $330,507 and his fellow countryman “Clarky91”, who took home $302,561.
DTO Poker Founder Markus Prinz Runner-Up in WSOPC Event #10, David Vinayagamoorthy wins
Another high-value tournament was WSOP Super Circuit Online Series Event #10: $100 HUNDRED STACK, which also had a whopping 8,404 players.
Its 500k Guarantee was boosted by a staggering 55% to $773,168 with $84,831.28 up top.
Under the last four players were only poker pros with and Sean “quackhouse” Prendiville, Curtis “ProdigyC” Lim, Markus Prinz and David “Alw4ysinduc3” Vinayagamoorthy.
Prendiville and Lim busted in 4th and 3rd place and Prinz and Vinayagamoorthy were heads-up for the WSOP Circuit Ring.
The latter entered heads-up play with a 2.5:1 chip lead and never looked back.
In the final hand Lady Luck was on the side of the Norwegian as he was All-In with A7o and behind against the Pocket Eights from Prinz, but flopped an Ace to take home a career high $85K score.
Marius Gierse lands another huge score in the WSOPC Super High Roller
German high stakes reg Marius Gierse is on a big roll. Two weeks ago Gierse finished Runner-Up in the same event and last night he even topped that by taking it down for a staggering $98,073.25.
The WSOPC Bounty Hunters Super High Roller is one of the toughest tournaments due to its high $5,250 buy-in.
Almost exclusively top tournament players sign up for it and yesterday 81 of them created a $405,000 prize pool, easily exceeding the $300K Guarantee.
The final table was insanely strong featuring online superstars Christian “WATnlos” Rudolph, Samuel “€urop€an” Vousden, David Peters, Joakim Andersson, Daniel Dvoress and Artur Martirosian!
The Russian local hero also made it to heads-up, where he faced German GGPoker regular Marius Gierse. Martirosian tried hard to add another major victory to his impressive results, but Gierse was unstoppable and not only took home a major title, but also a whopping $98,073.25 in cash.
Online Poker God Michael Addamo strikes again by winning the WPT High Roller
Michael Addamo continues to deliver and proves over and over again, why many including bencb789 view him as the best poker tournament player in the world.
Yesterday he was at it once again in the $5,200 WPT High Roller Turbo at partypoker.
54 players registered and created a $270,000 prize pool with a nice $87,459.48 up top.
Only nine places were paid and Canadian Kevin MacDonald was the last player, who had to leave the tournament empty-handed.
Big names who made it into the money, which was the equivalent of reaching the FT were David Peters, Artur Martirosian, Joakim Andersson, Mikita Badziakouski, Christopher Brewer and Steve O’Dwyer.
The heads-up was the Clash of the Titans between back-to-back GPI Player of the Year Alex Foxen and online poker legend Michael “imluckbox” Addamo.
Once again Addamo came out on top and nowadays there is hardly any major title Michael Addamo hasn’t won yet. Absolute legend of the game!
