Marius Gierse crushes the SCOOP with third victory
German online regular Marius Gierse also known as “DEX888” on Stars has been crushing online tournaments for years. At the SCOOP 2023 he continues his dominance by becoming the first player to win three titles!
Event #114-H was a $1,050 No-Limit Hold’em 6-max Turbo with a $175,000 guarantee. The guaranteed prize pool ended up to be significantly higher though as a whopping 247 players registered and boosted it to $247,000.
29 places were paid with a min-cash of $2,448 and a staggering $47,727.40 up top.
We saw one of the toughest final tables of the 2023 SCOOP consisting almost only of top players such as Francisco “Tomatee” Benitez, Pablo “pabritz” Brito Silva, Andrey “kot_spartac” Kotelnikov and Dario “silentm0de” Sammartino.
However, none of the above was able to stop Marius Gierse from winning yet another SCOOP title, which is already the third in this year’s edition.
A fantastic achievement for the German pro, who continues to build his online poker legacy.

But the SCOOP is not the only huge online tournament series, which is currently running.
The GGPoker World Festival at GGNetwork is even bigger with the largest guaranteed prize pool in online poker history!
Highlight of last night was the prestigious GGMasters, which attracted a whopping 1,259 players, who generated a huge $1,259,000 prize pool.
Two absolute online poker legends made it to the final table with Henri “buttonclickr” Puustinen, who finished in 8th place for $23k and Chris “moorman1” Moorman coming in 4th for $72K.
The title together with the staggering $169,850.20 score went to Austria in form of “WienerBlut2022”, who defeated “leng123” from China heads-up.

Over to the XL Spring Series 2023 at 888poker now. Last night one of the highlight events was Event #14, a $35,000 GTD Mystery Bounty.
The tournament was a big success with a whopping 744 entries, who boosted the guarantee by more than 6%.
All players were of course gunning for the $4,297.86 first place prize and it was “BTC23” from Germany, who secured the biggest pay day.
“WalnutPix” from the UK became Runner-Up and his second place was sweetened with a $3,445.93 score.
