Twitch Poker legend Lex Veldhuis won two events at the 2023 PokerStars New Year Series in one night for $37.084,19, while high stakes reg Simon Löfberg landed a huge $44k score at GGNetwork.

Lex Veldhuis Wins Two New Year Series Events In One Day

The New Year Series at PokerStars with a huge $35,000,000 guarantee is the absolute online poker tournament highlight at the moment and Lex Veldhuis has been crushing it so far!

Lex kicked off his run by registering for New Year Series 04-H, a $1,050 NLHE 8-Max PKO.

The tournament has a large $125,000 guarantee and 120 players were not enough to meet it, so there was a small overlay.

The biggest name on the final table, besides Lex Veldhuis, was Bulgarian crusher Ognyan “cocojamb0” Dimov, who finished in 7th place.

And Lex Veldhuis was still in for more as he had another deep run in New Year Series 06, a $320 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em.

Once again Lex not only made it to the final table, but all the way to victory.

Veldhuis bested a sizeable 226-player-field to win his second 2023 PokerStars New Year Series title on the same day this time for $12,863.72.

Simon Löfberg takes down the at GGMasters Bounty FREEZEOUT for $44k

Swedish high stakes regular Simon Löfberg landed the largest score in the Christmas Grind at GGPoker by taking down a special version of the GGMasters for a staggering $44,473.81.

The $320 buy-in event had its $300,000 guarantee absolutely smashed with a whopping 1,285 players creating a huge $411,645 prize pool.

Further notables on the FT were upcoming Kazakhstani poker star Damir Zhugralin, who recently won the high roller event at the Merit Poker Series for $350,000.

Zhugralin busted in a strong 3rd place for $17,592.23, before Simon Löfberg defeated Mexican player “daadneedsit” to take home the prestigious title.
