“uwinitakeit” from Canada defeats “C.Darwin2” to take down the Titans Event
The Titans Event is the absolute highlight of the Sunday Grind at PokerStars due to its large $5,200 buy-in and massive $250,000 guarantee.
This time 68 of the best tournament players in the world signed up for the elite event including Russian online crushers Lena900, WATnlos, Artur “mararthur1” Martirosian, Fedor Holz, Thomas “WushuTM” Muehloecker and David Peters.
There were nine places paid and “Drakeyffc” became the unlucky Bubble Boy, while UK high stakes reg Gavin “gavz101” Cochrane secured the $10,600 min-cash.
The next players, who followed Cochrane to the rail were German online legend Christian “WATnlos” Rudolph ($12,135), “drew.derzh” ($16,202) and David “MissOracle” Yan ($21,632).
Austrian online player “Jesper8” from Austria fell in fifth place for $28,881 and Spanish poker star Adrian Mateos came in fourth for $38,560.
The last three players left were the legend himself “C.Darwin2”, German online regular “Sintoras” and “uwinitakeit” from Canada.
Sintoras took third place and so “C. Darwin2” had the chance to add another major title to his sheer endless list of victories.
It wasn’t meant to be though as “uwinitakeit” from Canada defeated the Swede heads-up to take home the massive $91,769 first place prize.

“C.Darwin2” makes it to heads-up play again in the Sunday Warm-up
But C.Darwin wouldn’t have his legend status, if that was his only deep run. In the $1,050 Sunday Warm-up he had another shot at a major title.
43 players were enough to cover the $40,000 guarantee and there was $13,344 waiting for the winner.
Further notables, who made the money, were Hungarian wizard Peter “Belabacsi” Traply and upcoming German tournament star Jakob “Succeed” Miegel.
When “filusPL” from Poland busted in third place, the last two players left “xMFPx” from the UK and Simon Mattson made a ICM deal.
It secured “xMFPx” the biggest payday as well as the trophy, while “C.Darwin2” got almost first place money
