Armando D’Avanzo from Italy takes down the COLOSSUS for $409,007.19
Directly in the next event another big highlight of the 2021 WSOP Online was waiting with the $400 COLOSSUS.
The COLOSSUS always produces massive starting fields and this year an incredible 10,903 players entered to generate an astonishing $4,099,528 prize pool.
This gave the winner the unique chance to turn a small $400 buy-in into a life-changing $409,007.19.
By far the biggest name on the final table was the reigning WSOP Main Event Champion Damian Salas. The Argentinian was the first player to leave the FT though in 8th place for $40,900.
This cleared the way for the young Italian Armando D’Avanzo, who is residing in Malta. He won the biggest pot of the tournament, when flopping a set of Fives to bust US poker pro Kenneth Smaron.
This hand gave D’Avanzo the chip lead and he never looked back. Armando had a more than 2 to 1 lead at the start of heads-up play against Japanese pro Kosuke Tajima.
The heads-up battle lasted approximately half an hour, before all the chips went into the middle in a massive cooler situation:
Armando D’Avanzo fulfilled the dream of every poker player by winning a WSOP Bracelet and turning $400 into a huge $409,007.19 score.

116 players registered and there were $3,000,000 in the prize pool with a staggering $657,557.40 up top.
While online tournament crushers “WATnlos”, APonakov and 1_conor_b_1 all busted just shy of the final table, there were still several big names among the finalists.
Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, Adrian “Amadi_017” Mateos, Sintoras, Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver, Pedro “PaDiLhA SP” Padilha and German online regular “Sintoras” were battling it out for the title.
It was however Hungarian online legend “kZhh”, who once again was unstoppable. He busted opponent after opponent and already brought a significant 3 to 1 chip lead into heads-up play.
The heads-up against Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver only lasted twenty minutes before the below hand happened:
