Can Mike McDonald keep up with Steve Nash and Steph Curry?
Steve Nashe, Steph Curry, and Mark Price are the only three players in NBA history to have career free throw percentages of more than 90%.
These three players are considered to be some of the finest point guards in the history of the game and have been playing basketball since their childhood. Mike McDonald, on the other hand, has never played competitive basketball and has eight months to get on their level.
Mike McDonald Prop Bet Explained
Mike’s prop bet is based on the terms displayed below:
- Must sink 90/100 free throws
- Unlimited amount of attempts
- Bet lasts until 2020
- Even money
- Regular ball, hoop, no lane violations
Even though he has been a poker professional for several years, it is highly questionable if his competitive nature will be enough to win that incredible prop bet.
The terms of that bet are also set at even money which seems favorable for the person he is betting against. Therefore it is safe to say, that McDonald is pretty confident that he is going to win the bet.
However, the first step is always the hardest and his first attempts prove that there is plenty of room for improvement.

To keep up with these NBA legends, McDonald has to hit at least 90 out of 100 free throws to win the prop bet.

– I must sink 90/100 free throws on an attempt. I get unlimited attempts
– regulation ball, regulation hoop, lane violations not allowed

The prop bet lets him attempt to achieve that number an unlimited times, however, the bet will last only until the end of 2020.
Mike McDonald will be using a regulation ball, regular hoop, and lane violations are not allowed. Some may say that it may be easier for him to achieve the 90% free throw percentage because he has an unlimited amount of attempts.
However, he always has to announce when a single attempt is starting. Therefore he is not allowed to shoot 150 and score 90/100 in these attempts. The counter would reset in that case.
