Mike Matusow firing shots and ranting
Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow has come under fire yet again after a foul-mouthed Twitter and streaming rant, claiming he was slow-rolled as his WSOP run in event 5 lasted just a few hands
The slowroll hand that set Matusow off came as ‘Mike the Mouth’ joined in event 5 on the WSOP.com online schedule, a $1k buy-in NLHE Freezeout bracelet tournament.
His first hand after the break saw him pick up AQ off in the big blind, and that’s where the typically bizarre Matusow tale begins…
The blind-on-blind battle saw his opponent, ‘Wolverine17’, take plenty of time to call pre-flop, and a twitchy Matusow was already calling for them to “just fucking fold already, or do something”.
The call came, and the flop followed, and then Matusow shoved to a check…and the ‘slowroll’ brought the bad news…
Of course, that was enough to send Matusow spiraling: “This motherfucker, this Wolverine17, I’m gonna fuck him right in his fucking ass”.
Describing his foe as “the new generation of scumbag poker players”, and vowing: “I’ve got his name…I’ll see him in person and knock him the fuck out”, Matusow stuck the last of his chips in on the very next hand.
Losing that as well, he suddenly realized it there was no rebuy!
“Oh, it’s a freezeout! Well, that stream didn’t last long!”
For most players, that would be it…but not for Mike the Mouth Matusow…
Things got heated at this year’s WSOP Online
“I’ll lay $100 to $1 the guy is a fucking leftist, anti-American piece of shit,” he told a friend on a phone call…and with that his fans and followers were in on the hunt for Wolverine17’s identity…
When it transpired that it was a female player, the experienced live and online player Megan wolverine17 Milburn, Mike Matusow clarified his thoughts: “No, I won’t hit no woman, I’ll just call her the cunt she is when I see her”.
That foul statement brings us back to his opening tweet, and for those who want to listen to a mentally ill man, the rest of his stream is all yours.
Mike’s behaviour, of course, went down like a lead balloon with most of the poker community, some of our leading women to the fore…
Despicable. The irony in using poker etiquette to abuse a woman is not lost here.

…and others equally disgusted by Matusow’s behavior, pointing out that others have received live WSOP bans for much less…
The video was grotesque. His deteriorating mental health on full display as he spends 30 mins trying to find her real name, threatens her physically, & calls her a c*nt. @slayAbides and Panzica both have bans to live @WSOP events for wayy less than what Mike did on stream today.

Matusow’s erratic and eccentric behavior has graced, or disgraced perhaps, poker for many years, but more recently has become worryingly unhinged.
Attacks on Doug Polk, bizarre claims about the coronavirus pandemic, and last month’s conspiracy theory claims have all combined to turn the legendary Matusow into a figure of some pity and ridicule.
He also shared his rather strange views on the wearing masks during the current pandemic and even Daniel Negreanu said that “it’s too late for Mike Matusow“.
However, with a big following and plans to stream his entire WSOP online schedule, it could be a long and ‘interesting’ summer for all of us.
