The WSOP 2021 is up and running and there is yet another controversy evolving in the middle of the event. Max Silver has called out fellow poker pro Alex Foxen for promoting his poker app by encouraging others to boycott the event.

Earlier in September 2021, Alex Foxen and Kristen Bicknell have announced that they are launching a new poker app.
Their new online poker app is supposed to track all poker results and therefore provides poker pros with all relevant stats.
Excited to announce the release of All In Order Poker @allinorderpoker@WAFoxen and I have been hands on in creating a poker tracking app with a minimalist design that tracks performance from cash games, tournaments, staking, and swaps.
Check it out in the app store today! pic.twitter.com/ELs6Kjikcx

When launching a new product, the developers are obviously looking to promote it. Alex Foxen has been tweeting about his new poker app online and there is certainly there is nothing wrong with that.
However, Max Silver has recently made fun of him and his attitude to vaccinations. Foxen has expressed multiple times that he is against mandatory vaccinations and asked players to protest against the WSOP policies.
Foxen claimed that the WSOP was cooperating with big pharma companies and was putting pressure on the players to get vaccinated.
It’s really unfortunate to see the @WSOP become the next arm of pharmaceutical influence. Even sadder to see otherwise rational people cheer for the medical apartheid. Why ignore natural immunity? Why ignore that the vaccines don’t confer immunity, or prevent you from spreading?

Foxen’s fiancé Kristen Bicknell supported him and also spoke out against the policy and said that she was proud of Foxen.
Hope to see other people who feel this way speak out! It's not easy, but it's important and I'm proud of @WAFoxen who has all the courage to fight for what's right ❤. Thank you to those who are doing the same https://t.co/NcH4mWKKBM

Max Silver felt like Foxen was using his anti-vax campaign to promote his new poker app and called him out on Twitter.
Foxen didn’t take Silver’s meme personally and replied calmly:
The funny thing is that these two things are not contradictory as hard as you try to make it appear so. Please boycott the WSOP. Those who do not agree with me are welcomed and encouraged to use AIO to track results. I disagree w WSOP I don’t have issue with those who don’t pic.twitter.com/94R8hfnGDa

Afterward Silver replied that he was just thinking that it was a little contradictory to use a WSOP-boycott to promote a poker app.
I think it's just a little bit contradictory to use the WSOP to promote your product while taking a strong anti-wsop stance and calling for players to not play there 🤷♂️
I wish your app all the success and this probably draws plenty more eyeballs to it
— Max Silver (@max_silver) October 1, 2021
However, Foxen didn’t let it go at this point.
So disagreeing with something but understanding and supporting others’ rights to not agree with my stance is contradictory now? Or is it that acknowledging that the WSOP is a significant poker event while not agreeing with their actions that gets you? Congrats on the likes though
— Alex Foxen (@WAFoxen) October 1, 2021
Several Twitter users joined the discussion and shared their thoughts about the situation:
….but the audacity for places to ask my vax status- it’s all a scheme to track and control humans….but use my app to track all your financials 🙃

Spot on

It seems like Foxen and Silver won’t become best friends anytime soon.
