The Last Chance series of six $10k events broke the record for a PGT $10k event for the second time this week, event #5 drawing 121 entries as players vie for a spot in the $1million freeroll Championship finale.

Alex Foxen, Jonathan Little, Ike Haxton and Nick Schulman all fell before the paid spots, as did Brandon Wilson. “Back-to-back” Brandon was looking for his third win on the bounce, but ran into trouble just two short of the bubble…

Lin: A♦ K♣

Flop: 5♦ 3♠ 2♠

Wilson’s chip behind had to go in but his huge draw blanked…

By the time the final table was reached, Zamani was chip leader, Kristen Foxen and Rania Nasreddine were in the mix, and Joey Weissman was almost down to a chip and a chair.

Despite getting his fumes in good, Weissman fell in 7th when Zamani outflopped him, then we lost Chris Brewer in a race, his A♠ J♠ unable to catch Schutten’s pockets 8s. Ren Lin then took the last of the 5-figure cashes, pocket 5s against Nasreddine’s queens and a queen on the flop.

A win or second spot for Nasreddine would take her over the $2million lifetime cashes milestone and give the Oklahoman attorney her first win since taking down a WSOP Circuit ring in 2022.

It was anyone’s title to win, however, as no less than six double-ups occurred when four-handed, Nasreddine involved in five of them!  Brek Schutten’s shot at glory ended at the hands of Zamani…

…and then Nasreddine took  huge hit in similar fashion, ahead pre- but outflopped by Foxen. Her fumes went in next hand and failed to hold up against Zamani.

Heads-up lasted all of two hands, Kristen Foxen’s hopes of a second PGT victory dashed in ace-against-ace fashion…
