Czech poker pro Martin Kabrhel has denied marking cards and cheating and announced to take legal action against his accuser Andrew Robl.
..started media blizzard in which I am portrayed as cheater. You can accuse me of controversial manners, bad jokes, uncomfortable play, or whatever stickers you put on my autistic behavior, you can call me pain in the a** but calling me a cheater is something completely out of..

..it is very easy to prove such accusations are pure lies. I just can’t believe how easy it’s for people to join such accusations just by their personal antipathy towards my person.

Robl accused Martin Kabrhel of cheating during the recent $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, tweeting:
“How is Martin Kabrhel not banned from the WSOP? He makes any tournament no fun for anyone and on top of it I’ve seen him mark cards in every tournament I’ve ever played with him.”
Kabrhel came third in the tournament for a monster $ 2,279,038 payday, but his deep run was overshadowed by Robl’s accusations, which quickly went viral and saw numerous alleged instances of him marking cards posted on social media…
I know we care about Kabrhel not scanning cards and standing up.
But do we care about the sticky fingers? 🦠🦠

It was not only cheating allegations that had the 40-year-old Czech player hitting the headlines. His terrible table behaviour also had fellow pros and poker fans reaching for the off button.
Dan Smith, who finished sixth in the event, had harsh words for Kabrhel on his exit…
…and later offered to pay an expert card magician to investigate Kabrhel’s curious and worrying manipulations…

Martin Kabrhel had already been named by Daniel Negreanu as one of the worst players to share a poker table with, alongside confirmed GGPoker cheat Jake Schindler.
Whether Kabrhel’s threats of legal action will slow down or stop the cheating accusations, or instead spark a mike Postle-style deep-dive community investigation of his behaviour remains to be seen.
