Mario Mosböck has won his third Triton title after defeating Bryn Kenney to claim victory in the Triton Jeju Event #8 – $50,000 NLH 7-Handed.

The former football professional is now firmly established as one of the best high-stakes live tournament players around, clearly topping his other sporting achievements.
Moving into the larger buy-in events now, we saw only 215 entries from 134 players, creating a prize pool of $10,750,000 divided between the top 34 finishers.
Mosböck’s battle against Bryn Kenney was his second heads-up attempt in Jeju during this series and one of his finest during his relatively short career.
Kenney had a monster chip lead at one stage but the young Austrian knuckled down and turned the tables on the most successful live tournament player of all time.
Action Recap
Day 1 turned out to be particularly action-packed with the high rollers splashing around with re-entries like the money was real.
Forty two players returned to the playing hall for Day 2, providing us with plenty of entertainment during the bubble period. David Kaufmann, Danny Tang, Dylan Linde and Thomas Boivin were all in an all-in confrontation at the same time and all survived.
Matthias Lipp was the unlucky soul to miss out on a payday after his K♠ J♣ couldn’t hit the board to beat Dylan Linde’s pocket nines.
When the bubble burst, the action ramped up again and before we knew it there was a final table stacked with mega talent ready to entertain.

Player Name | Chip Stack | Big Blinds (BBs) |
Dylan Linde | 10,525,000 | 70 |
Bryn Kenney | 9,775,000 | 65 |
Mario Mosböck | 5,200,000 | 35 |
Mike Watson | 4,325,000 | 29 |
Brandon Wilson | 3,500,000 | 23 |
Steve O’Dwyer | 3,425,000 | 23 |
Matas Cimbolas | 3,300,000 | 22 |
Juan Pardo | 2,950,000 | 20 |
After a brief dinner break while the mystery bounty draw took place in which Matas Cimbolas walked away with more than a million dollars, Cimbolas returned to the playing hall and left almost immediately.
With only 4bb left, the Lithuanian was happy to see his chips go in with A♦ 9♥ but Mosböck soon soured his mood by knocking him out with 10♦ 7♦.
Mike Watson and Brandon Wilson followed Cimbolas to the rail almost immediately, with prizes of $377,000 and $512,000 respectively.
Dylan Linde had been minding his own business for the most part during this period, but this allowed Kenney to wrestle the lead from him and then end his tournament moments later.
Kenney opened Q♣ J♣ from under the gun and Linde three-bet from the next seat with A♣ K♥. When everyone else folded, Kenney jammed, putting Linde to a decision for the rest of his chips; a total of 27bb, which he duly did.
The flop ran out Q♦ 7♣ 4♣ with brick turn and river and Linde was out with $676,000 for fifth place.
Steve O’Dwyer was now the shortest stack and ended his run with K♥ 10♥ up against Kenney who called with A♦J♦ and saw it through. $854,000 for fourth place but no third Triton title for the Irishman.
Kenney now had a lead of almost double the chips of both his opponents combined. Pardo and Mosböck were now relying on knocking each other out to have a chance at overcoming the American.
And so it was. Pardo jammed with 9♣ 8♥ and Mosböck called it off with Q♠ 3♥ with a queen on the flop doing the job.
As heads-up play began, Kenney was in front with 52bb to Mosböck’s 35bb but the pair still agreed to do an ICM chop. Kenney would lock up $1,897,430 while Mosböck was guaranteed at least $1,766,570. $700,00 and the glory was still to play for.
Only two hands in and we saw Mosböck picking up pocket aces and getting paid when he hit a set on the river and Kenney called him down with bottom pair.
In the next hand Mosböck hit trips and got paid off again to leave him with 64bb to Kenney’s 8bb. Minutes later, Mosböck found himself with an easy call with pocket queens against 9♦ 8♣ and it was all over.
Mario Mosböck now has $12,406,982 in winnings from Triton events, putting him up to 23rd on the leaderboard.
