Lauren Roberts Asked to provide Video after Cheating Suspicions

Lauren Roberts, who was embroiled in the Bryn Kenney cheating accusations scandal, lashed out on Twitter this week after being asked to provide video proof it was actually her playing on her account on WSOP.com.

Mike Holtz asked Roberts if she could take a video as proof it was really her he was up against, and her reply was scathing…

Holtz continued as though it was the most natural thing in the world to question Roberts, despite others, including Danielle “dmoongirl” Andersen, pointing out he’d never ask a man to prove it.

Holtz wrote: “If it’s you then you’ve improved quite a bit. Dunno why you’re telling me to fuck off when you have a history of this behavior,” tweeted Holtz, which  only enraged Roberts even more.

The hedge-fund manager who learned poker from her grandfather as a child and has played in the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl, responded: “Excuse me, what behavior?”

“I was ghosted w/o my knowledge, I trusted someone who used me. What would be my motive, I know how to make money legitimately thank god, don’t need to do it cheating at $250 tourneys? There would be no fun at all, which is why I love to play.”

Holtz questioned how that could have happened: “How could you not know you were being ghosted?” with Roberts replying: “The guy lived at my house and also had all of my login information and controlled the account.”

For those finding this all a bit cryptic, this is in reference to the infamous Martin Zamani accusations levelled against Bryn Kenney that Kenney was running a ghosting operation, Roberts caught up in the fallout.

Roberts revealed a series of exchanges between herself and Kenney, explaining:

“The texts I shared were a recent argument with Bryn telling me I owe him money and me asking for an accounting. Notice how the number keeps changing, he wrote it in the book but then there was no book, he tracks 1000 ppl, no spreadsheet, never wrong…Then he gets abusive, it’s pathological.”

Roberts has $873,781 in live earnings, including a career-best $218,400 for winning event 3 of the 2019 US Poker Open, a $10k NLHE, ahead of Koray Aldemir in 2nd and Stephen Chidwick in 3rd spot.

Online, as Lauren Roberts mentioned in her tweets, she recently won a WSOP Circuit Online event for $10,403, Matt Affleck, Jason Somerville and Jeff Gross among the also-rans.
