Who Is Landon Tice?
Landon Tice is an incredible talent who has taken the poker world by storm over the last 12 months.
The 21-year-old Florida native only picked up the game over the last couple of years, starting at the usual level of $0.10/$0.20 games.
Within 18 months he was battling with some of poker’s biggest names in the high stakes arena. Totally insane!

Last year Tice took advantage of an offer from Doug Polk for a mini match to help him prepare for the High Stakes Feud. Incredibly, Tice went on to win by around $500 against the man who might have been the best heads-up player in the world a few years ago.

Has Landon Tice Offered Terms that Are Too Generous?
Everyone knows that Bill Perkins isn’t a winner at high stakes. But his wealth makes smaller stakes uninteresting.
Therefore, it made sense for Landon Tice to offer a sweetener to get this match agreed. 9bb/100 head start might be far too much to overcome though.
Tice is clearly no fool, so is he taking on this challenge with only prestige on his mind? He’s a sure fire winner against Perkins but there is a risk he’s taken on too much here for only a 20,000 hand match.

In real terms this works out at a $720,000 head start. That’s a serious handicap.

He promised to step up his game but as a man with many responsibilities, both personal and professional, it is unlikely that he will have the time to improve much before the match starts.
