Kobe Bryant and his daugther die in tragic helicopter crash
The retired NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daugther Gianna and 7 other passengers were reportedly on the way to Gianna’s basketball game, when the helicopter crashed under foggy and cloudy conditions in rough terrain near Calabasas, California killing everbody on board.
What exactly caused the crash is still being investigated by local and federal authorities.
Even more tragic is that Gianna Bryant, one of Kobe’s four daugthers and a great basketball talent herself, was also killed in the accident at age 13.

Even the Japanese city Kobe, which Bryant was named after expressed their condolences on Twitter:

Kobe Bryant had close ties to the poker world
Due to the fact that Los Angeles Lakers Owner and close friend of Kobe was an avid poker player, Bryant had many ties to the poker world.
He was even invited by the World Series of Poker to play the WSOP Main Event in 2013 after Jerry Buss passed away, but had to decline the offer due to an injury:
