Dan “Jungleman” Cates has come up with one of the craziest prop bets that the poker community has ever seen. The high stakes poker star reckons he can learn Chinese to fluency in only three months!

Quite what level of fluency he means isn’t clear. This is clearly open to interpretation until a wager is agreed. Fluency can mean the level of a small child who is able to communicate their thoughts clearly.
Could Jungleman do this in only three months? It’s quite possible that 12 hours learning every day with practice partners on hand could see tremendous results.

Andy Stacks Says Jungleman Has No Chance
Hustler Casino Live reg Andy Stacks is a Taiwanese native and he thinks that Jungleman has no chance if he makes this bet. Even if we are only talking to an elementary level of learning.
Another poster wrote that they passed the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) test to level six and still have glaring gaps in their knowledge.
Maybe the most telling post was the one that revealed that a level of B2 in the CEFR takes at least 500 hours. This is a full two months of full-time study.
I think CEFR levels would be the most indisputable way to define the terms of the bet. B2 or C1 would be considered fluent in most cases. Google says B2 chinese takes about 500 to 600 hours of study
