It seems like the poker TV series 2 Months 2 Million might be coming back! Jay Rosenkrantz tweeted that he was thinking about a second season.
2 Months 2 Million – The first poker reality show
2 Months 2 Million was a poker reality show that ran for one season from August 16th to October 21st, 2009. Back then, the poker boom was in full effect and the show featured a main cast consisting of four highly successful online poker grinders.
Dani “Ansky” Stern, Jay “KRANTZ” Rosenkrantz, Brian “flawless_victory” Roberts, and Emil “whitelime” Patel were playing online high stakes and set themselves a goal for the summer.
The four friends decided to rent a house in Las Vegas and wanted to finish with a combined 2 million in winnings by the end of the summer.
Unfortunately, their winnings totaled only $676,700 after two months.
Even though they did end up falling short of their goal of 2 million, the show became highly popular amongst poker players.
It was highly entertaining and also featured some intense online poker sessions, poker coaching, and several episodes also featured live poker.
While the show was obviously mainly targeting an audience that was interested in poker, there has been plenty of action away from the tables.
The cast set up multiple funny challenges, prop bets and the player with the fewest winnings had to do a humiliation by the end of each week.
Nevertheless, the G4 network, which produced the show, decided to cancel it after just one season. In total, there were 10 episodes at a running time of 22-24 minutes each.
Jay Rosenkrantz already had an idea of such a show a couple of years before it actually was aired.
After the show got canceled, the team tried to find another TV network to continue filming, but it didn’t spark interest.
2 Months 2 Million Season 2 coming up?
Even though the first episode of 2 Months 2 Million was aired almost 12 years ago, it seems like a potential second season might be coming up.

The four players remained very close friends after the show. However, it seems like only Emil Patel is still actively playing poker for a living.
Nevertheless, Jay Rosenkrantz was talking to Dani Stern about a second season on Twitter. While Stern’s demand of $15 million appears to be enormous, they probably noticed the great responses from the Twitter community.
After Rosenkratz tweeted about the second season, many people replied that they would love it.
Even though more than a decade went by, there are still lots of fans of the show. Some of them even called it their “Rounders“.
4 years since I've played a real hand of poker 🙀

However, it seems like it might be a big challenge to find a network that is willing to run the show. Furthermore, Stern has not been playing poker at all and would have to get back into the groove first.
It’s still way too early to announce an actual second season. But it is obvious that there are plenty of fans eagerly waiting for it.
It would certainly be a great sight to have a poker show on television. Get the latest updates on this topic in our poker news.
