Jamie Kerstetter revealed that Daniel Negreanu once used his influence to have her removed from a commentary team. The American poker star made the allegation on The Rake podcast with Norman Chad and Marle Cordeiro.
Jamie Kerstetter Outs Negreanu as a Bully
It didn’t take long before social media was awash with comments about Daniel Negreanu abusing his position in the game.
The Canadian is under heavy fire after his behaviour during the last month or so. A childish expletive-ridden tantrum over the lagging WSOP.com software was seriously embarrassing.
He followed up with an over the top rant at a Twitch viewer over a cheeky comment directed at his wife and found himself banned from the streaming platform. Kerstetter couldn’t help herself and posted a cheeky tweet.

Poker fans couldn’t believe what was happening in front of their eyes but it got worse.
Doug Polk, Negreanu’s nemesis, used his video editing skills to piece together one of the best troll videos the poker community has ever seen. This led to fans clamouring for a heads up grudge match which, to be honest, nobody ever thought would happen.
Amazingly Negreanu accepted the challenge and he and Polk will be playing a $200/$400 match that threatens to overshadow the fantastic Galfond challenge duels taking place right now.
Jamie Kerstetter Stitched Up by Negreanu
It is unclear when Kerstetter and Negreanu fell out. The pair exchanged tweets over a prop bet Kerstetter made last year to go vegan for a full 12 months. Nothing seemed amiss then.
Possibly the incident Kerstetter is referring to when she lost a commentary job because of Negreanu was the tipping point.
We would like to hear more about Negreanu using his considerable influence to negatively affect others. Unibet ambassador David Lappin was very critical of the Canadian saying that he knows several other people with a similar story.
He said,
“…Negreanu has apologists and protectors who either agree with him or fear the damage he can do to their careers. I think there are way more in the latter category than people realise,”

Jamie Kerstetter Highly Respected
Negreanu might have bitten off more than he can chew here. Kerstetter is well-known in the poker industry, but it is now only becoming clear just how much respect she has.
This isn’t just people piling into Negreanu, they genuinely feel that Kerstetter is a more than worthy commentator. To be removed on the advice of Negreanu is a step too far.
Kerstetter also has the skills to back up her commentary. With close to $1 million in live tournament winnings she has a successful online pedigree too.
She already has six cashes in the WSOP 2020 and is playing extremely well.
The fact that she is very likeable means she will get a lot of support over this recent news.
It must suck to be Daniel Negreanu right now. What fans he has left must be thinking that they never really knew the man who was once the most successful live tournament player ever.
The ultimate end to all of this will surely come when Doug Polk hands him his backside on a plate following their upcoming match. Negreanu might be narcissistic but there’s only so much humiliation a man can take.
