William Tjokro open-raises UTG to $1,200 with 10♠10♥, Bob Bright just calls with Q♠Q♦ and Rick Salomon squeezed behind him to $6,200 with J♣10♣. Both opponents calls. Pot Size: $19,700
3-way to an action flop of A♣Q♥3♣, which gives Bright middle set and the preflop raiser Salomon a combo draw. It checks to Rick, who makes a $10,500 cbet, Tjokro folds and Bright just calls. Pot Size: $40,700
The K♦ on the turn brings in the gutshot for Rick. Bob now leads for $30,000 and Salomon quickly raises to $150,000.
Bob Bright thinks for a few seconds and then folds a Set of Queens and is right! An insane fold with a hand most of the poker players wouldn’t get away from.
Rick Salomon wins a $220,700 pot, but doesn’t look happy as this is the minimum in this spot.
And Bob Bright folds another Set: $144,100
And this is not the only set Bob Bright folded in this episode…
There is a straddle to $800, Bright raises from the Hijack to $2,000 with 2♠2♣, Salomon just calls on the button with A♠A♣ as do Robl and Yong from the blinds. Pot Size: $8,700
4-way to a spicy flop of 4♥2♥A♥, which brings Set over Set. It checks around to the preflop raiser, who makes a $5,200 continuation bet with bottom set, Salomon continues to trap by just calling with top set. Pot Size: $19,100
J♠ on the turn and Bright fires a $11,000 second barrel and Rick calls again. Pot Size: $41,100
5♠ on the river and Bob makes a $21,000 value bet and looks surprised, whe Rick Salomon raises to $82,000.
He tanks for around 15 seconds and then folds his set and he is correct once again!
Getting away from bottom Set in this spot with a potential Flush and Straight out there is a little bit easier than in the first hand, but still an impressive fold.
