Largest Pot of the night worth $655,000
JRB straddles to $4,000. Rob Yong raises from the button to $10,000 with A♦7♥, Rick Salomon calls with K♣10♦ from the small blind as does Jean-Robert with 8♦8♣ from the straddle. Pot Size: $33,000
3-way to a flop of A♠J♥8♠, which gives Bellande a well-disguised set, while Yong flops top pair and Salomon a gutshot to the Nuts.
He checks, JRB leads for $15,000, Rob raises to $45,000, Salomon gets out of the way and Belllande just calls. Pot Size: $123,000
The 5♥ on the turn is a blank and JRB leads again for $35,000. Rob Yong still doesn’t believe him and raises once again to $125,000.
JRB then goes All-In for $406,000 and Rob has to fold, while Bellande collects the largest pot of the night worth a staggering $655,000.
JRB makes “Worst Fold in the History of the Show”
However, JRB not only won the largest pot, he also made a terrible fold or how commentator Nick Schulman phrased it: “Easily the worst fold in the history of the show.” Let’s take a look:
The $4,000 straddle is on once again and Rick Salomon open-raises to $15,000 with the trash hand 4♥2♠. It folds to JRB in the small blind, who looks at Q♥Q♣ and makes it $50,000 to go, everybody else folds.
When the action comes back to Salomon he puts JRB All-In for $315,000 more. This is obviously a snap-call, especially against a loose-aggressive opponent like Salomon.
Nevertheless Jean-Robert goes deep into the tank and ultimately folds his hand with the words “Big bully. I had a big hand,” just to get shown 42 offsuit by Rick Salomon.
Nick Schulman adds insult to injury by quickly declaring it: “The worst fold in the history of the show.”
