- Daniel Negreanu
- Eric Persson
- Jennifer Tilly
- Andrew Robl
- Stanley Choi
- Jean-Robert Bellande
- Stanley Choi
Andrew Robl gets lucky against Stanley Tang: $255,200 Pot
There is a straddle to $800 and a re-straddle to $1,600. Daniel Negreanu calls from the small blind with and Andrew Robl looks at in the big blind and makes it $9,000 to go.
When the action comes to Stanley Tang, he picks up . A dream spot for the DoorDash founder and billionaire as a 3-bet from the straddle gets much less credit. He raises to $22,000 with only $104K behind. That’s most likely the reason why Robl puts him All-in and Tang obviously snap-calls.
They agree to run it twice with Stanley Tang being a 70% favourite.
Both players agreed to run it twice for the $255,200 pot. The first run out brought a board of , guaranteeing Tang would at least chop the pot. But the second board of went Robl’s way and they chopped it up.
- First Runout: secures Tang half of the pot.
- Second Runout: The Ace on the flop saves Robl and they chop up a huge $255,200 Pot.
Daniel Negreanu coolers Stanley Tang in a $155,400 Pot
Jennifer Tilly open-raises to $1,500 from UTG with . Daniel Negreanu calls right behind her with as does Stanley Tang on the button with . Pot Size: $5,500
The flop of is perfect for Daniel, since he flops a well-disguised bottom set and one his opponents has top pair on a dry rainbow flop. Everybody checks. Pot Size: $5,500
And it gets even better on the turn for DNegs as it gives Tang Two Pair after it was checked around on the flop. Jennifer decides to make a delayed continuation bet of $3,000, Daniel raises to $12,000, Tang just calls and Tilly folds. Pot Size: $32,500
The on the river does complete a few straight draws, but as played except for 7h6h and 76o those are rather unlikely.
Daniel sets the trap by checking and Stanley asks him how much he has. Negreanu replies “59.2” and then the DoorDash founder makes a large 1.8x overbet.
DNegs then check-raises All-in for only $200 more and Stanley obviously insta-calls just to see the bad news that Daniel has coolered him by flopping a set against his turned Two Pair. Negreanu more than doubles his stack to $150,900.
