Line-up of High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 5:

A completely new line-up took stage and the only player from High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 4that is still playing is Jennifer Tilly:

  • Antonio Esfandiari
  • Bill Perkins
  • Jennifer Tilly
  • Roger Sippl
  • Robert Sanchez
  • Bobby Baldwin

Antonio Esfandiari and Bill Perkins get it in on the second hand: $342,000 Pot

Bill Perkins straddles to $800. Roger Sippl raises to $3,000 with 9♦8♦ from UTG and Antonio 3-bets to $10,000 right behind him with A♣K♦.

Bill Perkins looks at QQ in the straddle and 4-bets to $40,000. Sippl folds, but Esfandiari goes All-in for $169,000. Perkins makes the call and they decide to Run it Twice. Pot Size: $342,000

  • First Runout: 6♥8♥J♠2♦8♠ secures Perkins half of the pot
  • Second Runout: K♠K♥9♥K♣Q♣ is won by Antonio with Quads although Bill makes a full house!

That means they are chopping it up, which seems fair considering that it is a classic coin flip.

High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 5 Highlights - Antonio Esfandiari and Bill Perkins bring the action

Bill Perkins bluffs Bobby Baldwin off an overpair: $119,000 Pot

It folds to Bill Perkins on the button, who makes a loose open with 10♣6♣ to $3,000. Bobby Baldwin picks up J♠J♥ in the straddle and makes it $9,000 to go and Perkins decides to see a flop. Pot Size: $19,000

The 10♠8♠2♥ flop is a very interesting one, since it gives Perkins top pair, while Baldwin flops and overpair. Bobby makes a $15,000 continuation bet and Bill quickly calls. Pot Size: $49,000

The 5♠ on the turn is another spicy card as it brings in the flush draw, but Baldwin still has an overpair. He fires a $20,000 second barrel and Bill Perkins raises to $60,000 turning his hand into a bluff.

Bobby Baldwin almost immediately folds and in my opinion this is too weak given that he not only has an overpair, but also the Jack of Spades. If you fold such a strong hand to a single raise on the turn then you will get exploited by aggressive players.

Very nice play by Bill Perkins, who is rewarded with a huge $129,000 pot.
