  • Jennifer Tilly
  • Matt Hanks
  • Jean-Robert Bellande
  • Bobby Baldwin
  • Ema Zajmovic
  • Chino Rheem

Jean-Robert Bellande vs. Eric Persson: $233,400 Pot

After a $800 straddle, JRB raises UTG with Q♠10♠ to $3,000, Matt Hanks calls on the button with A♦2♥ and Eric defends his straddle with 10♥7♦. Pot Size: $10,000

3-way to an interesting flop of 7♥8♠2♠, which gives Persson and Hanks a pair and JRB a flush draw. Eric checks and JRB makes a $8,000 continuation bet. Hanks folds, but Eric check-raises to $23,000, Bellande calls. Pot Size: $56,000

The Q♣ on the turn is a very good card for JRB as it makes him top pair to go alongside his flush draw. However, it is Eric Persson, who leads out for $40,000.

There is already $96,000 in the pot and JRB only has 137K behind, so he announces All-in. Although Eric gets great pot odds of 2.4 to 1, he can’t call here with only third pair and JRB wins the biggest pot of High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 1 worth $233,400.

High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 1 Highlights

Matt Hanks vs. Jennifer Tilly: $206,200 Pot

Jennifer Tilly open-raises from UTG+1 to $3,000 with A♥8♥, JRB calls right behind her with 2♠2♥ as does Matt Hanks on the button with K♠6♠ and Eric Persson with Q♠J♣ from the straddle. Pot Size: $13,000

4-way to the action flop of 6♣6♥3♥. Dream scenario for Hanks, who flops Trips, while the loose-aggressive Jennifer Tilly flops the Nut Flush Draw.

Persson checks to the preflop aggressor Tilly, who makes a standard cbet of $7,000 into $13,000. JRB folds, but Matt Hanks makes it $22,000 to go and Jennifer is the lone caller. Pot Size: $57,000

7♠ on the turn and now Tilly leads for $35,000 with only $79,000 behind. Hanks quickly puts her All-In, which is a dilemma for Jennifer Tilly.

She gets very favourable pot odds of 2.6 to 1, but only has odds of 16% to win the hand. That means, Jennifer would need at least 28% winning probability to be able to call here and now she is forced to fold her Nut Flush Draw and overcard.

Misplay by Jennifer Tilly, which could have easily been avoided by checking the turn, while Matt Hanks wins a huge $206,200 pot without showdown.
