High Stakes Capital Announces $1,000,000 Crypto Tournament at BTC Miami
Within hours of posting the announcement on Twitter, the replies stacked up and it was like a “who’s who” in poker.
Tony G is a high-profile crypto investor who regularly posts opinions on the industry. But although quick to state his approval, he strangely recommended making it a special event for crypto investors only.
“Should ensure there is a committee and that no pure robot pros kill the great event. Should be people who are real serious crypto investors only if it’s a crypto event.”
Should a major event like this really be turning players away?
Please add me to the list. Looking forward to this. Amazing endeavour. @CoinPoker_OFF is my online crypto place to play. https://t.co/BeWTZvwn1v

Other high-stakes legends showing interest were Dan “Jungleman” Cates, Dan Smith, Fedor Holz, Adrian Mateos, Jason Koon, and Justin Bonomo. What a line up!
Crypto Poker on the Rise
An event such as this is guaranteed to raise the profile of crypto poker. Not only is the buy-in one of the biggest ever seen in poker, but the names that will make up the field will have poker fans in every corner of the globe watching keenly.
Currently scheduled for June 4-5 2022, the largest Bitcoin event in history is already a 12,000-ticket sell-out. Guest speakers such as Twitter-founder Jack Dorsey and Tony Hawk will compliment several event partners showcasing new technology.
Bitcoin poker sites are going to get the biggest boost we have ever seen!
The biggest buy-in poker tournaments of all time
So just where does this poker tournament stand in history? It’s right up there with the biggest, only pipped by two similar events.
The Triton Super High Roller tournament for £1,000,000 ($1.27 million) is currently the leader with a prize pool of £54 million ($66 million).
There was also the €1 Million Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza which at the time cost $1.1 million.
Aside from these tournaments we have seen several Big One for One Drop events costing $1 million, the original one being Antonio Esfandiari’s famous victory in 2012. Dan Colman and Justin Bonomo followed up with wins in 2014 and 2018.
This proposed event at BTC Miami will stand alongside the above as one which will be remembered for a very long time.
