Gus Hansen wins MILLIONS in the high stakes cash games at Bellagio
Gus Hansen’s last few days in Vegas saw him bag a 7-figure stack in the Big Game at Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio, his legendary Instagram video updates revealing a great end to a great summer for the Danish poker legend…

Gus Hansen ended this session up a couple of Million Dollars:
Playing high stakes cash against the world’s best is a fraught affair at the best of times.
The line-up last week was a who’s-who of the nosebleed stakes, with Dan Jungleman Cates, Aaron Katz, Scott Seiver and Isaac Ike Haxton all trying to separate the Great Dane from his poker riches.

Games as big as $6,000/$12,000 at Bobby’s Room!
That was the short-handed version on Gus’ final day, $5k/$10k blinds and what looks like the usual Mixed game that the Vegas highroller crew loves in Bobby’s Room.
The previous week saw Gus struggling to get a seat, two huge games running in the iconic poker room.
Triton Poker founder Richard Yong was heading the $4k/$8k game, while mere feet away an even bigger battle was taking place, $6k/$12k, the unmistakeable back of Finnish legend Patrik Antonius front and centre…

Patrik Antonius loses more than $500,000
While Gus was closing out with a huge win, for Antonius it was a brutal week in Vegas – a +$500,00 downswing that left him empty-pocketed after a hitherto bright summer for the Finn.
Food poisoning and his dog’s death coincided with the games turning ‘massively big’, explained Antonius in a very candid Instagram post…
“When you lose that much, it’s the biggest anti-adrenalin feeling…it really puts you down”, explained Patrik.
Epic Heads-Up Battle between Gus Hansen and Dan Jungleman Cates
Back in the life of Gus Hansen, rewinding almost 2 months saw him calling out Jungleman as the summer highstakes action was getting ready to kick off in Bobby’s Room…
‘Be careful what you wish for’ may be an over-used phrase, but Gus seemed to relish the idea of battling one of the best players of all time, and he finally got what he wished for.
“We have been waiting for 12 months to see another episode of the great intercontinental battle between Jungleman and Mr Hansen himself. Once again, Jungle is beating me up, but it’s still going to be a great summer.”
Beat up by Jungleman or not, Gus as we know ended the summer on a high, 7-figure, note – but he had one last stop before leaving Vegas. Would Gus find redemption or ‘continue to walk in darkness’?
