In its latest update GGPoker included a big reboot of its Fish Buffet rewards program. Aim of this article is to explain in detail what that means for you and how GGPoker rakeback works.
GGPoker Fish Buffet Changes
The latest update of the GGNetwork software included some changes of its Fish Buffet rakeback system, which affect high volume grinders and professional poker players, who earn 40 rakeback or more.
First major change is that all rakeback levels are now called Platinum, while the Whale and Shark levels were redesigned:
- There is only one Shark VIP status now called Platinum Shark. It offers 55% rakeback and can be achieved by earning three million Fish Buffet Points within one year.
- If you want to reach Platinum Whale status, previously Black Whale, then you have to earn 1,500,000 FPs after reaching the previous level.

How does the GGPoker Fish Buffet work?
In order to achieve one of the ranks of the GGPoker Fish Buffet, all you have to is to play a certain amount of real money cash game hands or tournaments.
Once you have reached the FP point target, you are automatically assigned the respective Fish Buffet Rank and will immediately benefit from the corresponding rewards in form of a Free Spin at the Fish Buffet Wheel.
Unused spins will be used after 30 days and the amount won is automatically credited to your account, so you won’t miss out on any rewards.
In case you fail to reach the required points target within the time frame, you will 10% rakeback on the points already collected and you will be demoted to the previous rank.

Weekly Fixed GGPoker Cashback
There is also the option to select a weekly fixed rakeback. By doing so, you will receive a reward for the FPs you have collected as a Platinum Rank for the previous week every Monday.

How to maintain or improve your GGPoker Fish Buffet Rank?
In order to maintain or improve your Fish Buffet Rank you have to reach the following FPs point requirements within one year:
If you fail to collect the required points within one year, you will drop one Fish Buffet rank lower.
For Example: If you have been a Platinum Shark the year before and you fail to achieve the annual FP target you will drop to Platinum Whale at the beginning of the New Year.
